As part of its response to the challenges of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Fed has cut its short-term policy rate to near zero and is buying bonds worth at least $ 120 billion every month. In recent speeches, some Fed officials have said the economy is recovering strongly this year and may see some housing removal being pushed.
