From overseeing the admin to generating sales, balancing the books and taking care of the staff, it can feel like there is always something to be done when running your own business. This pressure increases the risk for all SMB owners to suffer from burnout and extreme stress.
In fact, our research at The UK Domain found that 71 percent * of small business owners experienced stress at work in the past year, while 26 percent * of respondents identified juggling business and personal commitments as the main cause of stress. Other stressors included time pressure (24 percent), control over corporate administration (21 percent) and concerns about Brexit (8 percent).
However, there are some small and simple steps you can take as a small business owner to reduce stress, avoid burnout, and get your best performance. These steps can be broken down into six healthy habits and are the focus of our latest infographic, which you can check out below.
