This is Journal Club 2/12/21! I hold one every week JOURNAL CLUB. After filtering through the articles on the web, I present some that have influenced my life this week. Be safe and stay healthy!
- XRAYVSN continues a series in which the financial world is compared to the seven deadly sins and takes action against envy in this last post. It’s a very common trap to fall into, especially regarding the culture of keeping up with the Joneses. Fortunately, XRAYVSN gives great insight into how to overcome this particular financial threat.
- “Financial independence” is a term that is used widely and there are many hypotheses. But if you want to see some cold, hard numbers, then The Darwinian Doctor has the right job for you. In it, he shows how he was able to shave five years before his retirement goal – with numerous graphs, charts and tables.
- In this post from Retire Before DadThe author addresses what he calls “the mortgage dilemma”. He believes that housing construction, including getting a mortgage, is one of the three main barriers most people encounter when striving for financial freedom. How can you settle a mortgage so it isn’t suppressed? To find out, all you have to do is read it!
- With the pandemic unlikely to go away for a while, many people are wondering how real estate will (or will continue to be) affected in 2021. This post from Bigger Pockets make a few predictions. Whether they come true or not, it is always good to be aware of the possibilities.
